Trinity Area Students Outperform National Averages in Math and Reading

Posted Date: 05/14/26 (11:54 AM)

While national and local headlines point to a “reading recession” and continued post-pandemic academic challenges, Trinity Area students are telling a different story.

According to Stanford University’s Educational Opportunity Project, Trinity students are performing more than a full grade level above the national average in math and reading, ranking in the 87th percentile nationally in math and the 83rd percentile nationally in reading. Trinity also maintains stronger attendance than both the Pennsylvania average and similar districts.

Why does that matter? Because students show up when they feel connected, challenged, and supported.
From strong classroom instruction to CTE, meaningful relationships with teachers and staff, and purposeful use of technology, Trinity students have no shortage of opportunities to learn, lead, belong, and succeed.
